The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is premium hatch-back segment that is produced by Suzuki at its Gujarat based plant,and it took zero star rating in crash test by Latin NCAP, While in rating the five star is maximum rating and zero is minimum in crash test.
The Latin NCAP give the statement about it ,he said that it take 20.03 percentage in adult occupant box . its 17.06 percentage in child occupant box,and 64.06 percentage in pedestrian protection, 6.98 percentage in safety assist box.
in the front side Baleno showed the good performance but in side impact it showed poor performance .
In the front side of car performance of front structure was good but side doors is not capable for impact of crash test . It give poor protection on chest of adult in car .
The cause of zero star rating in crash test. The poor side impact and the lack of standard protection air bags, lack of ESC ( Electronic Stability Control ). the decision of Suzuki not recommend to child restraint system for the test .
The Maruti Suzuki Swift also failed in crash test last week ago. So now the Baleno is also received zero rating in crash test. Latin NCAP call on Suzuki
should improvement in standard safety equipment in Suzuki models as soon as possible .
